The ALIVE! Furniture Program is Back!
A huge thank you to the team of volunteers from Christ Church who collected furniture on Saturday morning and delivered donated items to Alexandrians in need.
Let us know if you can lend a hand on Saturday 9/17 and 9/24 from 8:00am -1:00 pm meeting at the Food Warehouse (801 South Payne St).

Fresh Produce Collection

Volunteers will be picking corn for ALIVE!’s food distribution events and several other food banks and pantries across the region. If you are able to join us please RSVP below and meet us on Thursday 9/22 at the Food Warehouse (801 South Payne St). The ALIVE! van will be leaving at 7am for Beltsville, MD and vegetable picking begins at 8am.

Help out at the new Food Hub

We are looking for help on an ongoing basis at the ALIVE! Food Hub helping clients navigate the grocery selection process. If you haven’t been to the Food Hub this is a great opportunity to see the beautiful new space and assist with our new food choice method of distribution.

Meeting at the ALIVE! Food Hub (510 F S. Van Dorn St) with shifts needed at:

Tuesday through Thursday: 11:30am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-4:30pm and 4:00pm-6:30pm
Fridays and Saturdays: 9:45am-12:45pm
Fridays: 1:00pm-3:00pm

Food Packing for Family Assistance

ALIVE! Family Assistance Program provides home delivery and food assistance for the elderly, disabled, and single parents. Help us pack bags of nonperishable food items to deliver to local families in need.

Sign up for your shift by following the link below. We will be meeting at the Warehouse (801 S. Payne St) Monday through Friday 9:00am – 11:00am to pack up food for delivery and we need drivers from 11:45am-2:30pm.

For 41 years, community has gathered together to support ALIVE! with a walk through Alexandria. This year, we are going to be meeting on Sunday, October 16th for StepALIVE! and we need your help.
