ALIVE! Food Program Volunteer Opportunities
All Food Program volunteers must be scheduled in advance with the Food Director, Ann Patterson, apatterson@alive-inc.org. Not all activities are suitable for groups, especially large groups.
Food Program
| Role | Description |

| Food Recovery | Pick up donated food from local organizations, stores and/or restaurants. Must have own vehicle or ability to drive ALIVE!’s 16’ box truck. |
| Sorters | Date check, sort, and pack donated food to be distributed to ALIVE!’s community partners. |
| Home Delivery Packers | Custom pack groceries M-F 9am – noon, for home delivery clients at ALIVE! warehouse. Requires training and commitment to a standing schedule. |
| Home Delivery Drivers | Deliver groceries to ALIVE!’s home delivery clients beginning at noon, M-F. Must have own vehicle. Requires commitment to a standing schedule. |
| Family Assistance Desk | Process home delivery and financial assistance requests for ALIVE!’s Family Assistance program, M-F 8:30am – 12:30pm. Must be computer proficient. Requires training and commitment to a standing schedule. Bi-lingual Spanish is helpful. |
